What you can do with your RedM server
VORP or RSG Core: which RedM framework?
RedM does not have FiveM's ecosystem: two frameworks account for most Red Dead roleplay servers. The one you pick decides which scripts you can install afterwards.
- VORP: the most widespread
- VORP is the most used framework on RedM, with the largest body of public scripts and community resources. The default choice if you are starting out and intend to build on what exists rather than write everything.
- RSG Core: the QBCore approach
- RSG Core mirrors the structure of QBCore, familiar to anyone coming from FiveM. More modular, it suits a team that has already developed on GTA RP.
- Are they interchangeable?
- No. A VORP script will not run on RSG Core and vice versa. Decide before buying or writing resources: switching framework mid-project means starting over.
- txAdmin and the Argentum key on RedM
- As on FiveM, txAdmin is preinstalled and the Argentum key is included. It serves the same purpose: raising the default slot limit and unlocking supporter-only features.

Yes. Custom map extensions (new camps, ranch buildings, saloon interiors or reworked towns) are packaged as resources and uploaded through WebFTP, then started from server.cfg. Players download the streamed assets on their first connection, so keep an eye on your total stream size to protect join times.
RedM is free to download but is a multiplayer mod for the paid game Red Dead Redemption 2, which you must own. Renting a dedicated server is separate.
