SixM: what a community framework for GTA 6 would be

The name "SixM" has been circulating since GTA 6 was announced. It is worth being clear about what it is: a construction by the community, by analogy with FiveM, and not a project announced by anyone.
Where the name comes from
FiveM takes its name from GTA V. By symmetry, part of the community started saying "SixM" for whatever an equivalent framework on GTA 6 would be, long before any such tool existed.
The official name of a future framework, should one appear, is unknown. Nothing guarantees it will carry this name, or come from the same team.
What such a framework would have to do
A roleplay framework is not just a server. It provides three distinct things:
- A client-side component that loads assets and code into the game. That is the hardest part, technically and legally.
- An authoritative server that holds world state, synchronises players and resolves conflicts.
- A scripting platform that lets third-party developers write jobs, an economy, interfaces.
The last two are conventional engineering work. The first depends entirely on a PC version of the game existing.
What exists today
Nothing, for GTA 6. No component, no test build, no identified team. What exists is domain names, Discord servers and announcements made in advance.
The basic precaution is not to pay for early access to software that has not been written. A name, a logo and a countdown are not a project, and none of them commit anyone to delivering anything.
What does exist and works
The current roleplay ecosystem, matured over ten years, with thousands of resources, documented frameworks and communities running every evening. That is where the experience that will carry over is being built.
Why the name matters less than people think
Whether a future framework is called SixM or something else changes nothing about what will decide its existence: a PC version of the game, and a team willing to take on the client-side component. Communities that spend the wait arguing about names tend to be the ones with nothing running. The ones that will be ready are running a server tonight.
