Hytale server: the honest state of play

There is a great deal of promise around Hytale and very few confirmed facts. As a host, the only sensible position is to say what is known and what is not.

What is certain

Hytale is a Hypixel Studios project that grew out of the Minecraft server community. That origin is exactly why servers matter here from the beginning.

What is not certain

The release date, the final shape of the server software and how the mod system will work are not publicly confirmed. Any offer promising those promises something nobody knows.

Why the server question comes up at all

A game that comes from a server community attracts interest in servers long before release. The interest is justified, but interest is not software.

Selling before the game exists

Selling a server for a game that does not exist is the most common trap in this field. If an offer does not say what is delivered and when, it says nothing.
